Day 1 - Arrive in Istanbul
- Upon your arrival at Istanbul airport, you’ll be taken to your hotel.
- In the afternoon, your guide will meet you for an orientation and a night-out tour of bustling Istanbul.
- Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2 - Walking the Old City of Istanbul
- Meet your guide at the hotel at the desired time.
- Explore the old city of Istanbul, known as Sultanahmet.
- Visit the Obelisk of Thutmose III, the Walled Obelisk, and the Serpent Column.
- Explore the Blue Mosque, famous for its beautiful blue tiles from Iznik.
- Next, visit the Hagia Sophia, an Eastern Orthodox Cathedral with a rich history.
- Explore the Yerebatan Cistern before lunch.
- End the day with a visit to Topkapi Palace, showcasing Ottoman splendor.
- Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Cruise the Bosporus and the Oriental Bazaars
- Meet your guide at the hotel and walk to Eminonu.
- Explore the Spice Market, the final destination of the Spice and Silk Road.
- Take a public ferry cruise between Asia and Europe on the Bosporus.
- Enjoy views of beautiful mansions and palaces along the strait.
- Visit the Rustem Pasha Mosque, adorned with Iznik tiles.
- Continue to the Suleymaniye Mosque, an Ottoman architectural gem.
- Finish the day at the Grand Bazaar.
- Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4 - Gallipoli
- After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up for a four-hour drive to Gallipoli.
- Gallipoli is a dramatic battlefield from World War I, where over 250,000 soldiers perished.
- Learn about the courageous defense by Ottoman soldiers, led by Ataturk.
- Visit memorials of Anzac soldiers and the Turkish Memorial.
- Cross from Europe to Asia via a ferry and stay overnight in Canakkale.
Day 5 - Troy
- After breakfast, depart for the ancient city of Troy, legendary site of the Trojan War.
- Wander through the 12 archaeological levels and immerse yourself in history.
- Visit Assos, perched on a hill overlooking the Aegean Sea and Lesvos Island.
- Enjoy stunning views from the Temple of Athena and learn about Aristotle’s time here.
- After lunch in Behramkale village, drive to Pergamon for an overnight stay.
Day 6 - Pergamon
- After breakfast, take a short drive to the Acropolis of Pergamon.
- Catch the cable car to the hilltop city and explore palaces, temples, the theatre, arsenal, and library.
- Visit the Temple of Zeus and one of the churches of Revelation.
- See the Serapis Temple, which was converted into a church during early Christianity.
- Enjoy lunch in the old town of Bergama.
- In the afternoon, visit the Sanctuary of Asclepius, the first place where music and psychotherapy were used as treatments.
- After the tour, a three-hour drive will take you to Denizli for an overnight stay.
Day 7 - Pamukkale & Aphrodisias
- After breakfast, drive to Pamukkale and Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Explore the white travertines and the ancient city, once a thermal healing center.
- Walk over the natural thermal pools and visit the Roman Baths.
- Continue your journey to Aphrodisias, dedicated to the Goddess of Beauty.
- Visit the Temple of Aphrodite, the Tetrapylon, and the Sebasteion.
- After a coffee break, drive to Sirince for an overnight stay in the charming old Greek town.
Day 8 - Ephesus
- Meet your guide and driver and visit the House of Virgin Mary.
- Continue to the Ancient City of Ephesus, exploring its Hellenistic architecture, the Library of Celsus, and the mighty theatre.
- Visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and the Museum of Selcuk.
- After lunch, relax in Sirince for an overnight stay.
Day 9 - Fly to Cappadocia
- Your driver will take you to Izmir airport for a flight to Cappadocia.
- Upon arrival, drive to see the region’s phenomenal landscape, visiting viewpoints of Goreme, Uchisar, and Ortahisar.
- Climb the Uchisar castle and then check in to your hotel for a rest.
- Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 10 - Cappadocia
- After breakfast, embark on a comprehensive tour of Cappadocia.
- Visit the Imagination (Devrent) Valley and the Monks (Pasabag) Valley.
- Explore the Underground City of Ozkonak and experience pottery making in Avanos town.
- Visit the Open Air Museum of Goreme to see the best-preserved frescoes.
- End the day with Turkish Coffee while enjoying the surreal landscape.
- Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 11 - Fly Back Home
- Private transfer to Nevsehir or Kayseri airports for a flight back home or to your next destination.
